I’m Bhuvan, a Senior Engineer with 14 years of experience building across the full stack — from IoT edge systems to analytical data platforms. I’m focusing on data engineering and architecture, designing systems on data pipelines and data lakehouse.

I’m currently building a modern data platform from the ground up using Apache Iceberg, StarRocks, and OpenMetadata — working at the intersection of data reliability, observability, and scale.

I write about what I’m actually building — the decisions, the tradeoffs, and the lessons that don’t make it into documentation.

Outside of tech, I run, trek, do yoga and play keyboard. I completed my first mountain trek at Makalidurga hills near Bangalore and a 21K half marathon run.

I practice Zen meditation, not as a habit to optimize, but as a way to think clearly.

I’m working toward engineering leadership and have a conference paper in peer review with IEEE Xplore. The long game is building something of my own. If something here resonates — read my writing.
